Forty Plus With Fatty Liver?

Forty plus with fatty liver?

Cytozen is what you need!

Unhappy older couple

Fat at forty. That’s bad news for one and all, especially for the fair Sex. The problem is that the liver can very easily accumulate fat and head for trouble. So, it is imperative that we protect the liver from its own fat and also from fat elsewhere in the body. That’s where some recent publications become interesting for us to understand. Bette Liu of the Cancer Epidemiology Unit at the University of Oxford reported in BMJ online (2010, 340: c912) report that while alcohol is an important agent for causing Liver Cirrhosis, non-alcoholic factors play an equally important role too, with obesity leading the list of culprits that cause cirrhosis in women.

In this study of middle aged women in the UK who consume low to moderate amounts of alcohol, they found that compared with women with a body mass index between 22.5 and 25, those who were overweight or obese had an increased risk of liver cirrhosis; the risk increased by about 28%for each 5 unit increase in body mass index. The relative increase in the risk of liver cirrhosis was not altered by alcohol consumption; however, the absolute increase in liver cirrhosis rates with increasing body mass index was substantially greater in women who reported that they drank 150 g or more of alcohol per week (an average of two and a half drinks a day) than in those reporting drinking less than 70 g a week (an average of about half a drink a day).

Fatty Livers

And who to turn to for protection against this malady? Cytozen of course. It is a potent hepatoprotector used mainly in the treatment of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease), viral hepatitis, chronic hepatitis and cholestasis. The major ingredients are well researched and documented for the correction of liver disorders. For instance, Picrorrhiza kurroa- increases the production and flow of bile. It is proved to be anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective and immunomodulatory. Picrorrhiza kurroa exhibits antioxidant property by inhibiting the generation of oxygen anions and to scavenge free radicals. It has been shown to stimulate liver cells regeneration in rats, possibly via stimulation of nucleic acid and protein synthesis. Picrorrhiza’s anti-inflammatory action is attributed to inhibiting oxidative burst in neutrophils. It is also antiviral (antiHBsAg like activity and inhibits purified HBV antigen). Cytozen is also the natural way to counter an unnatural pathology cum biochemistry of the body’s vital chemical laboratory, namely the liver.
